Kevin Moranz: Round 8 Race Recap – SLC 4
The fourth round here in Salt Lake City will go down as this season’s best performance in 2020 Supercross. It all started in the heat race when I came in contact with another rider right off the start dropping me back to around 13th. Knowing that if I didn’t push through it was certain I would be in the LCQ. Therefore, I started picking people off moving my way up to 10th. Finally, with two laps left I knew it was time to make the move and I came right up the inside of another rider to take 9th and the final transfer position. Transferring straight to the main was needed to conserve energy and we took it all into the main event. In the main we started about 14th, moved up to 11th until about halfway. We ended up finishing with a 13th and a career best. Very positive improvement and some solid TV time.
Heat – P9
Main – P13
