Kevin Moranz: Round 9 Race Recap – SLC 5
The final race of the season came down to the East / West showdown. It was a goal of mine this year to race in this event. I had to be in the top 20 in points at the end of the 8th round to be able to race the showdown due to Covid-19. We accomplished this goal and learned a lot during the day while gaining experience. We got pushed off the track in both the heat and the LCQ so our chances of the main were diminished early but in both the heat and the main we made passes and worked our way up. Overall this season was awesome for us in the fact that we made so much progress. We ended the season tied for 21st in the championship at 35 points. Looking forward to outdoors beginning soon and lowering our national number for 2021.
